Welcome to the website.  My name is Jim Schumont and I build and repair stringed instruments in my Portland, Oregon shop. I craft mandolins and guitars to suit the needs of fellow musicians.  I strive to produce high quality instruments that exhibit excellent workmanship and beautiful tone.  I would be happy to talk with you about building your next guitar or mandolin.  I also have some completed instruments that are available.
